However, most of those don't have enough traditional and Quranic supporting documents. In this article, we studied different ideas of interpreters and divided them into two main categories. Studying and comparing Araaf verses with the Araaf chapter context, and related traditions, we concluded: First, the word “Araaf” means veiled castelled between heavenly and hellish people. Secondly, Araaf can imply “seraat” which itself needs more research. Thirdly, between two ideas related to objects of Araaf men, "prophets and their close group of followers" and "the man by equal goods and bads", the first idea is closer to context of tradition and verses. But the second idea is not enough reliable, according to the context of "Araaf" chapter and disjointed traditional documents. مسأله شناخت اعراف و رجال آن از جمله مسائل چالش‌برانگیز میان مفسران در تفسیر سوره اعراف است که در‌باره آن آراء فراوانی از سوی مفسران اظهار شده؛ اما بیشتر آن‌ها فاقد مستند قرآنی و روایی کافی هستند. نوشتار حاضر، ضمن بررسی آراء مفسران، آن‌ها را به دو دسته اصلی تقسیم کرده و در ارز‌یابی و انطباق آن‌ها با سیاق آیات سوره اعراف و روایات منقول از معصومان(ع)، چنین نتیجه می‌گیرد که اولاً: کلمه اعراف به معنای کنگره‌های حجاب میان بهشتیان و جهنمیان است. ثانیاً: ممکن است بتوان اعراف را با صراط تطبیق کرد که نیازمند بررسی بیشتر است. ثالثاً: از میان دو نظر اصلی در‌باره مصادیق رجال اعراف، یعنی «پیامبران و اوصیای ایشان» و «کسانی که حسنات و سیئاتشان برابر است»، قول اول با سیاق آیات و روایات، انطباق کامل دارد؛ اما نظر دوم، به دلیل ناسازگاری با سیاق آیات سوره اعراف و اضطراب برخی مستندات روایی آن، چندان قابل قبول به نظر نمی‌رسد. https://qhs.isu.ac.ir/article_2251_d5e2c0adad503c91f91df240d0cd4e49.pdf
