Historically and methodologically, commentators are divided into several categories the most important of which is the first generation known as the generation of companions such as Imam Ali (pbuh), Omar, Othman, Ibn-Abbas, Ibn-Masood, and so on .One of the causes of importance of this class and their interpretation is their experiencing the companionship of the Prophet and learning the Quran from him practically and verbally. However, due to Interpretations attributed to this class, caution should be exercised when referring to them as the prophetic interpretation. The present study is library-based and initially according to Sunni Hadith sources and then based on Shiite sources answers this question: “What was the interpretative method of Imam Ali (pbuh) as the main commentator of this generation?” It is hoped that this study will help popularize this great man of Islam and also respect his vital role in clarification and interpretation of the Holy Quran. <strong> </strong> تفسیر به معنای بیان معانی آیات قرآنی و کشف مقاصد و مدالیل آن، از نخستین اشتغالات علمی مسلمانان است و از عصر نزول قرآن شروع شده و تا امروز ادامه دارد. از نظر تاریخی مفسرین به طبقاتی تقسیم می‌شوند که مهمترین آن­ها؛ طبقه نخست یعنی صحابه پیامبر اکرم(ص) مانند: علی(ع)، أبوبکر، عمر، عثمان، ابن عباس، عبد الله بن عمر، ابی بن کعب، ابن مسعود و... می‌باشند. <br />یکی از علل اهمیت این طبقه و تفسیرهایش درک محضر پیامبر(ص) و بهره‌مندی از ایشان در بیان قولی و عملی قرآن کریم است. هر چند، به سبب تضارب اقوال و تفاسیر منسوب به این طبقه، باید در کل نسبت به تفاسیر آن‌ها احتیاط کرده و به صرف انتساب تفسیری به یک صحابه (خواه مرفوع و خواه موقوف)، آن را تفسیری منسوب به پیامبر (ص) ندانست. <br />مقاله حاضر به روش کتابخانه‌ای و ابتدا بر اساس منابع تفسیری و حدیثی اهل سنت و سپس برای اتمام فائده منابع شیعی به این پرسش اصلی می‌پردازد که روش‌های تفسیری امام علی (ع) از بارزترین مفسّرین این طبقه، چه بوده است؟ امید است با این مقاله، گامی نه چندان بزرگ در مسیر شناخت و معرفی بزرگ مرد تاریخ اسلام و نقش حیاتی ایشان در تبیین و تفهیم معانی قرآن و قالب‌ریزی روشمند تفسیر قرآن برداشته شود و همچنان جایگاه والای این امام همام تعظیم و تکریم گردد. https://qhs.isu.ac.ir/article_988_9908279ebbf1f9b250ba689db6a0222b.pdf
