Based on numerous historical evidences, it has been proven that morality existed among the pre-Islamic Arabs before Islam. But what are the criteria and what has been the definition of morality among them, and also how Islam has been able to enter into the common moral discourse among them and what effect it has had on it, is questionable. In this article, in order to better and correctly understand ethics in the Qur'an, a study has been conducted on the circumstances, habits and traditions of pre-Islamic Arabs. The results of this study indicate that the Holy Quran in the context of the early audience and the dominant cultural discourse at that time, as well as the Arabic language, which followed certain rules, was faced.
