Abstract

Among the modern methods propounded in linguistics in which they scientifically study the concept and is called semantics. In semantics, the meanings of words are explained via discovering the semantic field of words based on their relations in the semantic networks. In the context of the verses of Holy Quran, by help of this method, they research for the meanings of Quran words. The concept of “thanks” is among the axial notions in semantic network of accepted Quran notions. During discovering the semantic network of the words related to thanks, we confront derivations of “atheism” as the most remarkable notion against “thanks”.
Since, the notion of atheism means neglecting the gifts and also it is meant as believing atheism, the necessity of investigating the meanings of intermediate words between these two concepts is apparent. In order to explain the semantic field of this network, there is a need for distinguishing the meanings of intermediate words between thanks and atheism with this criterion that whether they are applied relevant to the meaning of neglecting the gifts or companion to believing atheism. For this, in the current study, we care taking efforts to discover mutual concepts of thanks which are in relation to the notion of atheism and to study their semantic essence dominant on that
