Differentiation between Spirit and Soul in the Holy Quran and Traditions

Abstract

The present article has considered spirit and immortal soul in three compasses of word, Quran and narrations. It has specified their application and extensions with researching in their examples. In the light of these researches the differentiation discussion were proposed. Most of the commentators, theologians and traditions persisted on more differentiation between spirit and immortal soul based on the religious terms, but applicability of spirit and immortal soul are considered in philosophic though. So they supposed to be synonymous. In the presence of verses and traditions about spirit, commentators and theologian were only searched in the applicability and meanings of it. It has done scattered and view distraction also. One of the factors of this view distraction is taking the companions saying for granted and hardly ever making digestion and presumption in this issue.
